Pork Chops and Applesauce

Yesterday afternoon, I got to spend a little time with my nephew, Elvis. We took a quick trip to the hardware store and then spent some time singing in the car on the way home. I tried to get him to sing the theme song to the Brady Bunch, but that was a bit much for a 2 1/2 year old, so I taught him to say “pork chops and applesauce” like Peter Brady. He did really well even though he didn’t get the Humphrey Bogart imitation down yet. I’m sure my sister really appreciates the effort I make to help expand Elvis’ vocabulary.
