A Thousand Shall Fall

This week my husband and I finshed a book we have been reading together. We finished it a little sooner than we thought because on Monday night, we were without power for about four and an half hours.

Anyway, it was a very good book based on a true story of a soldier in Hitler’s army and his family trying to keep their faith in Nazi Germany. It was really interesting to read a story from the perspective of a non-American during WWII.

We really enjoyed this book although it was a little hard for me to read aloud since it did have some German words in it. At least my mispronunciation gave us a few laughs. 🙂

We are now in search of another true story of Christians and their faith that we can read together on Sabbath. Do you have any suggestions?
