For our 1st anniversary, my husband and I spent the weekend in the Colorado Springs area. We had so much fun. We had three places we planned on going, other than that, we just drove around and stopped whenever we saw something cool. 🙂

We started off visiting the Garden of the Gods. It was really a beautiful area and lucky for us, what looked to be a stormy cold day turned out to be sunny. Next, we drove through Manitou Springs. It was a pretty little town. They happened to be having a luau in the park that day and people all over town were dressed in grass skirts and hawaiian shirts (including an adorable little dog we saw walking along). After that, we explored the Cave of the Winds. Then we ended the day with a delicious meal at Giuseppe’s Old Depot Resturant.

Sunday was mostly driving around and seeing what was there. We did stop at Santa’s Workshop and then later visited the Ghost Town Museum. It was a very relaxing, fun weekend. I have lots of pictures to put up when I try out my newly fixed computer tonight.
